One of
the Coast Guard Auxiliary's cornerstone missions has always been educating
the public on boating safety. Our classes will not only give you valuable
information, but allow you to interact and work one-on-one with seasoned
boaters. Your local division and its constituent flotillas periodically
offer educational opportunities for the boating public. Upcoming classes

ABS (About Boating Safely) is recommended by the U.S. Coast
Guard Auxiliary and meets requirements for PWC, Jet Ski & Boat
Operation in New York State. (ABS is also recognized throughout the
U.S. as a safe boating course and approved by the U.S. Coast Guard
and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators)
Sailing Skills and Seamanship
(SS&S) is
a comprehensive course designed for both experienced and novice
sailboat operators.
Paddlesports America - Kayak & Canoe
owners will learn the basics of paddlesports safety in the classroom
setting.
